For today’s blog hop I created two simple cards featuring press/foil plates from the December 2024 Release collection. My first card features Essential Textures: Terrazzo Press Plate/Foil Plate and hot foil technique.

2025

I combined the Hot Foil Roll - Gold (Mirror) with Crafty Necessities: Cloudy Sky Cardstock and added pink, purple, green, and yellow paint splatters from the Altenew Artists' Gouache Set to create this fun, shiny, and colourful background.

2025

To finish my card, I added the 2025 numbers created with the Bold Numerals Die Set and Crafty Necessities: Purple Wine Cardstock, along with the "hello" sentiment from the Lovely Flowers Press Plates/Foil Plates.

2025

For my second card, I used the Lovely Flowers Press Plates/Foil Plates and applied Cloud White Pigment Ink to the plate before pressing it onto Cloudy Sky Cardstock panel. I love the delicate and elegant impression of the flowers.

hello

To finish the card, I added some white paint splatters using Titanium White Artists' Gouache and sentiments created with the hot foil technique using Hot Foil Roll - Gold (Mirror).

Altenew Stampwheel 2.0 Release Blog Hop!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Altenew Stampwheel 2.0 Release Blog Hop! If you came here from the Altenew Blog, you're on the right track. If not, be sure to go back and start from there so you don't miss a thing!

$300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $100 gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $50 gift certificate to 4 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by November 19th for a chance to win. Altenew will draw 5 random winners from the comments left on each stop of this blog hop and announce the winners on the Altenew Winners Page on November 21st, 2024.

*The winner of the $100 gift certificate will be chosen from comments left on the Altenew blog.

The Stampwheel 2.0 builds on the success of the original Stampwheel with notable upgrades, including a larger workspace with a detachable side, precision inch scales, and a high-quality photopolymer Sticky Mat. This innovative tool retains the original feature of a rotational clear plate that locks into place at 16 equal intervals. The Sticky Mat, made from high-quality photopolymer, ensures that your paper and stencils stay securely in place. Additionally, the right side of the Stampwheel 2.0 frame is detachable to accommodate larger stamps, stencils, or paper. Both sides of the frame feature an inch scale for easier alignment.

For today’s blog hop, I wanted to create something on A4 paper to see how easy it is to use the removable side frame and adjust the workspace for larger papers and stamps.

Stampwheel 2.0

I started with white A4 cardstock and stamped a smaller flower image from the Billowing Peonies stamp set using Obsidian Pigment Ink. Next, I used a masking technique to cover the peonies and stamped floral sprig images from the Dainty Bouquet stamp set.

Stampwheel 2.0

I used the coordinating Billowing Peonies Layering Stencil Set and applied the following ink shades to add colour to the flowers and leaves: Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart and Purple Wine from Rose Petal Fresh Dye Ink Set, Pastel Sunrise and Canyon Clay from Martian Terrain Fresh Dye Ink Set, along with Misty Sage, Mossy Meadow and Green Opal from Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Set.

Stampwheel 2.0

To finish the design I added some green ink splatters.

Stampwheel 2.0

I'm still not sure if I want to trim it and make some cards, so for now, I used a pink paperclip to hang it on my inspiration board. Would you cut it and make cards, or leave it as wall decor?

For today’s blog hop I created a Christmas card featuring Intertwining Leaves Layering Die Set from the November 2024 Release collection.

holiday greetings

I started by die-cutting all the elements needed to create a leafy wreath. I used a smaller branch and die-cut all the layers from Reindeer Moss, Forest Fern, and Misty Morning cardstock. I also used 4 simple, one-layer branches die-cut out of Misty Morning cardstock.

Intertwining Leaves Layering Die Set

Next, I created my background by attaching a panel of Dark Night cardstock to a card base and adding splashes of Titanium White Artists' Gouache for a wintry feel. I arranged my die cuts in the shape of a wreath and added Mother of Pearl Gem Sparkles for extra shine and elegance.

holiday greetings

My last step was to add a sentiment from the Modern Poinsettia Stamp Set.

For today’s blog hop I created two CAS cards using products from the October 2024 Release collection.

For the first card I used Dynamic Duo: Playful Watercolor Flowers. The Dynamic Duo: Playful Watercolour Flowers Stencil Set was designed to infuse vibrant colour into images from the matching stamp set. These stencils create a watercolour effect, adding artistic charm to your projects effortlessly. The stamp set features the outlines of fun, whimsically drawn flowers and leaves, allowing you to enhance the images in the stencil. It also includes 3 sentiments in a beautiful cursive font.

hello

I used the Dynamic Duo: Playful Watercolour Flowers Stencil B to create this beautiful floral arrangement. I went for pink shades from Blushberry Bliss Fresh Dye Ink Bundle, green colours from Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Bundle and added a bit of Golden Honeycomb from Sun-Kissed Delights Fresh Dye Ink Set.

hello

Next, I added floral stamps and my sentiment from the Dynamic Duo: Playful Watercolour Flowers Stamp Set with black ink. To finish the design I added some green ink splatters for an extra interest.

hello

For my second card I used a few products from Pumpkin Patch Bundle.

thank you

I started by stamping a bunch of pumpkins from Pumpkin Patch Stamp Set with black and used coordinating Pumpkin Patch Simple Coloring Stencil Set to colour it in. This time I used Strawberry and Dusty Pink from Blushberry Bliss Fresh Dye Ink Set, Pistachio, Misty Sage and Green Opal from Jade Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Set, Peachy Glow and Golden Honeycomb from Sun-Kissed Delights Fresh Dye Ink Set, Misty Morning and Cloudy Sky from Tranquility Crisp Dye Ink Set. To finish it off I blended a little amount of white ink over the pumpkins to slightly mute the colours I used.

thank you

My last step was to add green ink splatters for a finishing touch and Thank You sentiment from the set.

thank you

I started by stamping my background stamp twice with Starlight Fresh Dye Ink onto white cardstock.

Next, I used a coordinating Chocolate Flowers Die Set. It includes a Zero-Waste die that will give you a plethora of flowers and leaves. I die cut it out of white cardstock and mixed and matched my layers to create beautiful flowers.

For my second card I used the Build-A-Garden: Lovely Rose Peony. I stamped it twice with black ink and used the Build-A-Garden: Lovely Rose Peony Layering Stencil Set to easily colour the flowers.

sending you a bouquet of smiles

I decided to keep the design monochromatic and I used green shades from Tropical Forest Fresh Dye Ink to colour flowers and leaves. I added only a little touch of orange with Snapdragon ink from Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Ink Set.
