St. Nicholas Day

This my second post today, so please scroll down to see my card for Runway Inspired Challenge. Thanks!

Hello again! I’m back to share my card for Sweet Stamp Shop blog.

In many European countries, December 6 is a day to celebrate one of our most beloved saints Nicholas of Myra, the origin of Santa Claus. As a kid, I always looked forward to celebrating St. Nicholas's Day. The night before we set out freshly polished shoes hoping they would be filled with lots of goodies. We still celebrate this tradition by giving small gifts hidden in shoes and in honour of this lovely day, I thought I’d make a card with a little Santa. This cute gnome stamp was just perfect to use here:

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy St Nicholas Day!

  6. Such an adorable card! We used to celebrate St. Nick's day when we were kids....loved waking up to see what was hiding in our shoes. I keep forgetting about the date to do it for my son....I'll have to remember to do it next year!
