There are eleven stencils being released today and they are now available for purchase at the Altenew online store. I love using stencils, they are such a great tool to have on hand! They can be used with lots of different mediums and they are an excellent way to add unique and beautiful designs to any project quickly and easily. Today I have three simple one layer cards to share with you using some of the newly released stencils.
For my first card, I used the Splatter Stencil to create a background.
First I applied blue ink with a sponge dauber and then I stamped small flowers from the Crafty Friends Stamp Set to create a pattern. I used Altenew markers to add colours and details to some of the flowers. To finish the card I stamped two sentiments in black.
For my next card, I used a great geometric stencil called Layered Kaleidoscope Stencil A. I chose to use here three different Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Sea Glass, Frayed Leaf and Dusk and applied them with a sponge dauber.
To finish my card I used stamps from the Sentiments & Quotes Stamp Set. I stamped a bold round sentiment with black ink in the centre of the pattern and added some black stars here and there.
For my last card today, I used the Watercolour Stripes Stencil, which I love! This stencil is a fun way to create a watercolour effect, without having to get out your watercolours! I simply blended two inks (Cotton Candy and Mango Smoothie) over the stencil with the sponge dauber and then added some ink splatter for more artistic look. Such a perfect and mess-free result without much effort!
The last step was to stamp images from the Floral Shadow Stamp Set with black ink in the centre of my card.
That’s it for me, your next stop on the hop is amazing Lydia Evans and I can't wait to see what she came up with today! If you want to start from the beginning to check all the amazing projects along the way here is the full list:
