For today’s blog hop I’ve created a card using the newly released Polish Papercuts 3D Die set. Wycinanki (vee-chee-non-kee) is the traditional Polish art of paper cut-outs, it became a popular folk craft in the mid 1800's. They featuring traditional motifs like flowers, leaves and animals (i.e. roosters) in bright colours and symmetrical patterns, but their styles vary by region of Poland. Each paper cut-out were hand made using sheep shears to form the designs and I’m so happy to have this beautiful die set that will make it so simple in making paper-cut designs!
For my card I decided to go for a modern kind of design. I used very simple colour combo and wanted to keep it without any sentiment.
That’s it for me, your next stop on the hop is Zinia Redo.
Here is the full line up for the blog hop today.

ReplyDeleteI cannot tell you how happy I was to see the Wycinanki stamps and dies in this release! I have loved the look of Wycinanki since I was a little girl and used to always collect something, anything, when visiting Cepelia on summer holidays to see family when I was younger. My family in Poland know what I fan I am and always get me little folk art mementos, but at long last I will be able to make my own designs and experiment with colours and layouts. Oh I cannot wait! I just love how versatile the 3D dies will be, so many colours to work with but also just how beautiful do they look in white as on your stunning card? Wow! Here's hoping they will be a good seller for altenew as I'd love to see more 3D dies in this style and series. :D
