Altenew’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway


Hello, everyone! Today I’m very honoured to be participating in the Altenew’s 4rd Anniversary Blog Hop! It's crazy how fast time flies! We “just recently” celebrated the Altenew’s 3rd anniversary and today Altenew is 4! It has been another great year full of joy to work with all the beautiful stamps and more! For today's Blog Hop I created a simple card using a beautiful set called Wildflower Garden and here’s what I came up with:

I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks (Evergreen, Forest Glades, Persian Blue, Sapphire, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Honey Dazzle, Lavender Fields, Sea Glass and Ocean Waves) to stamp flowers and leaves, and added some colourful splashes here and there. The “happy birthday” sentiment is from Birthday Builder Stamp Set.

    I love the Wildflower set and have to get it.
    I love that you don't have to actually color,
    just use inks (because I don't know HOW to color).

    This is such a beautiful springy card! (Just what we need right now as we wait for winter to say its last good-bye.) I love the watercolor look and the techniques you used for shading. You are obviously a gal after my own heart, because I LOVE the earthy look that a few splatters adds to any nature-based image!

    What a beautiful card. I recently lost my mother who suffered from Alzheimer's. She LOVED flowers and always had flowers growing in her yard. This card just made me think of how much she would have loved receiving a card like this. Thank you for sharing your talent.
