Today I've created a quick and simple “hello” card using only the Altenew dies. I started by creating my card base and adding black ink splatters to the background. Next, I die cut leaves from the Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set out of watercolour paper, used watercolours to colour them in and added gold glitter glue here and there for decoration.

 To finish the card off, I die cut the Altenew Fine Alphabet Dies out of black cardstock to make “hello”. I die cut the letters three times and stacked them together for some dimension.

Altenew October 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

For today’s blog hop I’ve created two simple projects using stamp sets from the new release. For my first card, I used Brilliant Baubles Stamp Set and coordinating dies. This set features six different tree ornaments with 3 or 4 layers. There are also accompanying bows and a string image to finish the look.

I stamped my ornaments with different colours of inks and I used Golden Peach Crisp Embossing Powder for the second layer of each ornament, for a shiny and texture effect.

For my next project I created two gift tags using Peace Love Joy Stamp Set, that features stamps with a touch of Scandinavian charm. I created my tags with Handmade Tags Die Set, then I stamp the ornaments and die cut them using coordinating dies.

I went for green with a touch of red colour combo and added a few drops of Glossy Accents for a bit of shine and dimension. I love how quick and easy this tags came together.

Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

There is a new addition to the Altenew collection of markers being released today, and I’m very excited about it! New Watercolour Brush Markers are simply amazing and I love that they perfectly coordinate with Altenew line of colour families! The barrel of each marker is filled with water-based colour, the flexible, yet sturdy bristles on the brush tip allow you to form both broad and fine strokes and colour can be applied straight from the marker, or diluted with water for a softer look.

Today I've created a simple card just to give you a simple idea of using the new markers. I started with Fantasy Floral 3D Die Set and die cut a flower and few leaves out of watercolour paper. Then I used the watercolour markers to colour them. I decided to go for the following colours: Rubellite, Autumn Blaze, Warm Sunshine, Moss and Dusk.

I slightly diluted my colours with a few drops of water and dabbed the die-cuts with a paper towel while the paint was still wet. The sentiment comes from Circled Sentiments Stamp Set and was die-cut using die from Halftone Circles Nesting Die Set.
